I'm Menachem ("Mendel") Jacobs, MD, an internal medicine resident at Yale New Haven Hospital pursuing academic cardiology. I publish under Menachem Jacobs.

My research covers cardiac PET imaging, lipoprotein(a), cardiovascular risk prediction, and how clinical AI actually performs when tested.

Here I write explainers on preventive cardiology, practical frameworks for residents and students, and analysis of AI in medicine. I built Vital8, a free cardiovascular health score built on the AHA's Life's Essential 8.

I also co-founded the Jewish Physicians Network, working at the intersection of medicine, ethics, and Jewish law.
