Learning privacy

What is saved when you use a MendelMD Learning account.

Your account and progress

Signing in creates an account with your email address. If you choose Google, Google also provides your name, basic profile, and account identifier. MendelMD Learning does not request access to your Gmail, Google Drive, or contacts.

When you study while signed in, we save your deck selections, flashcard ratings and review schedule, quiz answers and results, and email update preferences. We use these records to show your progress and help you resume studying.

Services and cookies

Supabase provides account authentication and stores saved learning records. Vercel hosts the app. Sign-in cookies keep your session active; signing out ends the session in that browser. Google handles authentication when you choose Google sign-in.

The website also uses Google Analytics and Plausible to understand visits and improve the site. The AKI quiz also sends question IDs, selected answer options, correctness, and completion scores to Google Analytics. The flashcard reviewer does not send your ratings to analytics.

Email updates are your choice

Creating an account does not subscribe you to marketing emails. If you opt in, we save your email address and a record of that choice for occasional MendelMD resources, courses, and project updates. You can change the preference in My learning. Email sign-in links are separate.

Your choices

You can browse the public learning resources without an account. Saved learning records remain associated with your account until removed. To request a copy of your records or deletion of your account and saved progress, contact MendelMD using the email address on your account so we can verify the request.

These quizzes and flashcards are educational. Do not enter patient information or personal medical records.
